WikiClubs bring together people in a given city or region, or around a theme, to collaborate and help each other to contribute to the Wikimedia projects on topics that are important to them. They are an essential part of the Wikimedia movement.

Over the past few months, there has been a growing interest among Canada-based contributors to have an online space to connect. To meet this need, Wikimedia Canada will be launching WikiClub Canada, a virtual WikiClub, in January 2026.

WikiClub Canada will meet online every second Wednesday of the month. Every meeting will start with a short icebreaker and lightning talk, then the rest of the meetup will be open discussion for participants to share about what they are working on, ask questions, discuss wiki-related topics, and more.

English-speaking meetup: 8pm ET / 5pm PT | French-speaking meetup: 7pm ET / 4pm PT
