Members of the Toronto WikiClub explored Toronto Island on April 27 for a photo walk.

On March 30, the Bibliothèque nationale was buzzing with dozens of free knowledge enthusiasts, enriching Wikipedia, Wikidata and Commons to celebrate the voices of francophone culture – performing artists and writers, specialists in communications and the French language, and landmark works of francophone identity.

Since the United States of America has roughly 10 times of the Canadian population, American topics dominate English Wikipedia and oftentimes American editors write about Canadian topic pages from an American perspective. In Canadian pages, there remains substantial gap for contents about women, remote and isolated communities, wilderness areas, Northern and Arctic regions of Canada and Indigenous groups on Wikipedia.

Wikimedia Canada micro-grant program is a pillar of the organization, supporting open-knowledge events and projects across Canada. The team has been working hard to update and improve the program, so it can better serve the communities.

On January 19, Toronto WikiClub hosted its annual Wikipedia Day celebration in downtown Toronto at the One Yonge Community Centre.

On November 3, 2024, approximately fifty people participated in the workshop Savoirs pluriels : wikifier les critères d’admissibilité, organized as part of the WikiConvention francophone in Quebec.

The 8th edition of the WikiConvention francophone took place on November 2 and 3 in Quebec City, preceded by two days of preconferences. A major event for the French-speaking Wikimedia community, this edition brought together nearly 130 people.
